About the role
- Associate Data Engineer supporting data engineering projects at The Hartford in Hartford, CT and Charlotte, NC. Engaging in projects that involve data analysis and developing data assets using various technologies.
Responsibilities
- Utilize tools such as Informatica, B2B, PL/SQL, Hadoop, etc. to develop data assets that support organizational decision making via prototyping, data discovery, profiling, etc.
- Leverage data mining and Business Intelligence tools to analyze large amounts of data identifying relationships and patterns within the data
- Solve a range of core business and technical questions through data analysis
- Engage in work that is guided by more senior members of the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree – May 2026 graduates
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0 scale) at the time of graduation
- Desired majors include Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Applied Mathematics, and Business
- Desired candidates have prior Data Analysis and/or Data Engineer competencies
- Programming experience in a college and group settings
- Knowledge of SQL and at least one additional functional or object-oriented programming language such as R or Python
- Possess the technical, analytical and communication skills to solve problems, create technical solutions and tell the story about how your work enables the business in addressing our customer needs.
