About the role
- Co-op position supporting software development and testing for Telesat's satellite communications. Hands-on experience with C++ and gNMI protocol in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and testing of Network and Element Management Software
- Provide hands-on experience with C++ development and the gNMI protocol
- Engage with the Agile team during planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups
- Present final project work and findings to the System Operations Software management team
Requirements
- University student towards a Bachelor’s degree in technical, computer science or engineering field
- Basic knowledge in satellite communication technologies
- Strong interests in NMS protocols and modelling languages such as: NETCONF/RESTCONF, gRPC/gNMI, gNOI, YANG, UML, OO design
- Good knowledge in Python 3, modern C++ (C++14 and beyond), Go, Debian, Docker, K8S, Azure
- Good communicator in a hybrid work environment
