About the role
- Lead SAP BASIS team managing technical landscape for SAP S/4HANA implementation projects. Oversee installations, upgrades, and ensure system availability with best practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the SAP BASIS team in managing the technical landscape for SAP S/4HANA implementation projects
- Oversee system installations, upgrades, migrations, and patch management across SAP environments
- Manage SAP environments across development, quality, pre-production, and production systems
- Define and implement environment strategy, including refresh cycles, transport management, and cutover planning
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure system availability, performance, and compliance
- Support RISE with SAP, GROW with SAP, and SAP BTP deployments and integrations
- Monitor and optimize system performance, job scheduling, and interface stability
- Ensure adherence to change management, incident management, and release management processes
- Provide technical leadership during go-lives, disaster recovery drills, and system audits
- Mentor junior BASIS consultants and contribute to technical knowledge sharing and best practices
Requirements
- 10 to 12 years of experience in SAP BASIS administration
- At least 3 full-cycle S/4HANA implementations
- Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA system architecture
- SAP HANA database administration
- Transport Management System (TMS)
- SAP Solution Manager / Focused Run
- Experience with SAP on Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with SAP Landscape Management (LaMa)
- Strong understanding of clean core principles
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Team leadership skills
