IT Operations Manager ensuring service quality for complex IT platforms in NOC/SOC environments. Managing incidents, changes, and SLA compliance with a focus on collaboration and process improvement.
Responsibilities
Ensure service quality across the entire operational lifecycle (servers, storage, network, virtualization, operating systems, databases, applications)
Seamlessly transition new services from projects into stable production operations
Manage incident and disruption handling; closely coordinate with NOC/SOC and customers
Plan, agree and implement change and release processes — with all relevant stakeholders
Produce and analyze SLA reports; identify trends, coordinate corrective actions and escalations
Maintain and continuously improve operational and process documentation; embed compliance and security requirements
Occasional travel within the DACH region
Requirements
Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics or equivalent qualification
Several years of experience as a Service Manager in a NOC/SOC or a similar role; very confident in customer-facing situations
Experience with service architectures (Windows, Linux, virtualization) and hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
Confident with networking technologies: VLAN, routing, firewall rules, load balancers
ITIL knowledge and hands-on IT service management processes; monitoring with Prometheus, Nagios, Zabbix, Dynatrace
Experience in risk and security management, ideally ISO 27001; project and change management knowledge is a plus
Excellent German and good English skills; proactive, structured, able to work under pressure; Class B driving license
