About the role

  • Senior Vice President of M&A driving acquisition strategies and integrations at Synchrony Financial. Leading deal teams and collaborating with executive leadership in a critical role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead M&A strategy development and deal origination, execution, and integration
  • Manage relationships with investment banks
  • Lead due diligence teams and close transactions
  • Integrate acquired companies and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years relevant experience in corporate development, investment bank, and/or private equity investing in financial services and/or payments or consumer lending
  • In lieu of completed degree, HS diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years’ experience leading cross-functional teams in corporate development or M&A capacity
  • 2+ years’ experience with financial analysis including modeling, underwriting, due diligence, documentation, and negotiations
  • 5+ years’ experience independently leading origination, due diligence processes, performing financial analysis, preparing investment memos, and developing recommendations for senior management
