Seeking TS/SCI Tier 3 Service Desk/System Administrator for DoD and IC tasks in Bethesda. Expertise in Linux and Windows systems administration with a focus on collaboration and user support.
Responsibilities
Perform Linux (primarily) and Windows builds, installations, configurations, administration, and troubleshooting.
Implement and enforce DISA STIG compliance across systems and networks.
Develop and maintain server builds for both virtual and physical environments.
Manage and deploy system integration tools such as Kubernetes, Rancher, and Helm.
Develop scripts for patching, configuration, and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Utilize configuration management tools like Salt and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
Administer cloud environments, particularly AWS, including provisioning, monitoring, and optimization.
Provide professional and knowledgeable customer support to maintain excellent client relationships.
Coordinate with teammates to ensure service desk coverage from 6 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree with 2+ years of experience (three additional years of experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree).
Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI and Polygraph.
Expertise in Linux systems administration (RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu).
Experience with patching (yum/APT repositories) and virtual server builds.
Familiarity with Agile project management and security requirements derivation.
Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience working in air-gapped environments.
