Responsibilities
You’ll work as the first dedicated Engineer in this new venture.
Expect deep technical challenges, real ownership, and the thrill of helping define how capital markets evolve on-chain within one of Europe’s most respected blockchain companies.
Design and implement backend services in Rust, optimized for throughput, reliability, and low latency
Build systems that connect on-chain and off-chain components, from smart contract interactions to market data ingestion and execution logic
Collaborate closely with infrastructure and validator teams to leverage bare-metal performance and low-latency access to blockchain networks
Work with live trading data and performance monitoring tools to profile, test, and tune production systems
Contribute to architecture design sessions, helping define how we scale a multi-chain platform
Collaborate with experienced engineers across Staking Facilities to extend node infrastructure and on-chain APIs
Shape technical direction, influence tooling and processes, and grow with the project as it scales
Requirements
Proficient in Rust, with experience writing safe, performant, and maintainable code
You’re excited about Web3, decentralized finance, and the emerging internet of capital markets.
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership in an early-stage setup
Curious and self-motivated, you enjoy learning new systems, exploring blockchain tech, and tinkering with complex problems
Based in Europe or nearby time zones (CET overlap)
Fluent in English, with strong communication and collaboration skills
Familiar with concepts like order books, limit orders, and exchange mechanics, or eager to learn
Existing experience with smart contracts, on-chain transactions would be ideal.
