About the role

  • Accounting Team Lead overseeing general ledger accounting and managing staff at CORE Stagwell. Supporting financial operations with various corporate initiatives in Manila.

Responsibilities

  • Support the manager in managing the day-to-day operations for general ledger accounting areas.
  • Liase and assist AR, Billing, AP and Finance with various inquiries.
  • Oversee accounting staff to ensure a timely close and reporting deadlines.
  • Review the work of staffs but at the same time serve as back up and support of staffs perform their day to day activities as follows: Prepare the monthly close entries (Prepaid, Fixed Assets, accruals, deferred rent, AMEX entries, etc.)
  • Balance Sheet account reconciliations
  • General Ledger account analyses ensuring accuracy within the GL account.
  • Maintain Revenue recognition processes in addition to revenue, WIP and deferred revenue schedules.
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Bank Accounts reconciliations
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Month End Ancillary Package and OneStream balance uploads
  • Ensure closure of unreconciled/open items in the Financial Statements
  • Prepare/review Audit schedules as assigned and conduct audit research and answer questions.
  • Preparation of year end tax schedules
  • Assist with Ad hoc requests as assigned.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls.

Requirements

  • Experience with large ERP and Accounting Software preferred (SAP, Oracle, INTACCT, Net Suite, Maconomy, etc)
  • Strong technical accounting skills (knowledge of GAAP, FASB and SEC accounting and disclosure requirements) and proficiency with researching accounting literature.
  • Must be able to reconcile accounts and be able to perform GL analysis.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA (or equivalent) preferred
  • Previous experience with Consolidations and Intercompany eliminations
  • Minimum 1 years of experience managing an accounting team
  • Advanced Excel skills required (vlookup, sumifs, sumif, pivot tables)
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • Ability to set priorities, multi-task, meet critical deadlines and pay attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and motivated self-starter with good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
