About the role

• Senior Fullstack React & BE Engineer developing workforce management solutions at Staffomatic. Collaborating with an experienced team in Hamburg or remotely within Germany.

Responsibilities

• Actively shape and further develop our workforce management platform together with a small, experienced team based in Hamburg or working remotely.
• Take an active role in our Ember.js → React migration (React, Tailwind, Tanstack-Router, Capacitor.js).
• Maintain and extend our Rails-based REST API (Rails, MySQL, Redis, Memcached, RSpec, …).
• Design and implement new product features from end to end.
• Continuously evaluate, improve, and refactor existing code.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and the technical direction.
• Be part of our agile planning and delivery process.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with React and modern frontend development (state management, component architecture, hooks, performance, E2E tests).
• Hands-on experience building production-ready React applications.
• Solid understanding of modern frontend tools and ecosystems (Tanstack-Router, Tailwind, Vite/Webpack, REST APIs, etc.).
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, including developing APIs and business logic (Rails, MySQL, Memcached, Redis, RSpec, GitHub, etc.).
• Ability to design and implement complex features with non-trivial business requirements.
• Enthusiasm for AI technologies and practical experience with AI-assisted tools to improve development workflows.
• Comfortable working with remote and on-site teams.
• Native German and fluent English.
