About the role
- Senior Data Platform Consultant delivering data solutions and leading projects at Snap. Engaging with clients to design and implement data analytics solutions that drive business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Leading the delivery of data solutions, including data warehouse builds, migrations, and platform modernisation
- Managing delivery across projects or workstreams, ensuring high‑quality outcomes for clients
- Building strong relationships with client stakeholders and aligning technical solutions with business goals
- Anticipating delivery risks, introducing mitigations, and balancing the needs of clients, teams, and timelines
- Coaching and mentoring consultants, providing feedback and supporting development through hands‑on guidance
- Contributing to internal initiatives and helping shape delivery best practices across the team
- In your first 3–6 months, success might look like:
- Leading the delivery of a data warehouse migration or greenfield build
- Owning delivery outcomes on one or more client engagements
- Receiving strong client feedback on your leadership, communication, and technical judgement
- Supporting the development of junior consultants or emerging team leads
Requirements
- Significant professional experience in cloud data engineering for analytics
- Strong experience in cloud data warehousing (ideally Snowflake or Databricks), SQL, and cloud ETL tools such as dbt, Matillion, Fivetran, etc.
- Experience designing, building and implementing dimensional data models and leading technical delivery
- Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with client stakeholders
- A commercial mindset and ability to align data work with business goals.
- Experience leading large‑scale or multi‑team delivery engagements
- Confidence influencing client strategy and facilitating workshops or roadmap discussions
- Experience mentoring senior consultants or team leads
- Involvement in shaping delivery frameworks, internal capabilities, or go‑to‑market initiatives
- Comfort operating at a strategic level across multiple clients or programmes of work
