About the role
- Experienced Geotechnical Engineer responsible for analyzing and delivering geotechnical solutions in infrastructure projects. Collaborating with teams in Brisbane and other QLD locations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver geotechnical analysis, design, and site investigation tasks in line with relevant standards and client requirements
- Plan and conduct engineering projects of reasonable complexity
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure quality, coordination, and timely delivery
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and proposals for small to medium-sized projects
- Manage project scope, risks, and priorities across multiple assignments
- Contribute to the commercial success of projects and team performance
- Apply sound project management principles to achieve deliverables on time and to standard
- Support and provide guidance to junior engineers where required
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil or Geotechnical preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in geotechnical design and site investigations
- Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and geotechnical practices
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Experience preparing technical documentation and reports
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Client-focused mindset with the ability to manage expectations
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and general computer applications
