About the role

• Senior Accountant supporting SME clients with their accounting matters and delivering actionable financial insights using cloud systems. Overseeing financial records and ensuring compliance with Australian regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Support SME clients with their accounting matters, enabling growth and decision making.
• Deliver accurate BAS lodgements and maintain clean financial records.
• Provide clients with clear, actionable financial insights.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, payments, and reconciliation of supplier/client accounts.
• Collaborate with bookkeeping and tax teams for accuracy of transaction recording, ledger integrity, and smooth financial operations.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, acting as their go-to advisor for day-to-day accounting needs.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years experience as an Accountant within an accounting firm.
• Outstanding client relationship management (both verbal & written).
• Strong understanding of Australian regulatory standards.
• Experience with cloud systems like Xero and Dext.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
