About the role
- Senior Software Engineer developing and maintaining backend features for the Validaide platform at SkyCell. Focused on delivering secure, scalable software solutions for the pharmaceutical supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend features in the Validaide platform
- Own and improve services, tools, and processes to ensure operational excellence
- Collaborate with QA, product owners, and fellow developers to deliver secure and maintainable features
- Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews
- Develop and maintain automated tests using PHPUnit and Behat
- Create and update technical documentation for new and existing systems
- Optimise performance and scalability of the application
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP Annex 11
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software development
- Strong programming skills in PHP and Symfony, with solid MySQL knowledge
- Experience working in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (Twig, Vue.js, vanilla JS, jQuery)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), deployment tools (Ansible), and test automation (Behat)
- Comfortable working in English and collaborating across teams
- Interest in contributing to meaningful work in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
- Willingness to learn new technologies (e.g., Java/Spring Boot, React.js)
- Open to long-term growth with the team
