About the role

• Business Intelligence Engineer developing robust BI solutions for healthcare analytics. Collaborating with stakeholders and enhancing data insights for providers across the post-acute healthcare market.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust and scalable BI tools using Microsoft Reporting Services, Web-based dashboarding tools.
• Develop infrastructure in both relational and multidimensional environments.
• Develop tune and troubleshoot queries against large data stored in SQL Server with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and business analysts to understand requirements and formulate use cases.
• Coordinate with Software Test Engineers on unit, integration, and regression testing using SHP’s proprietary report testing framework.
• Explore ways to improve existing products to increase ease-of-use, actionable insights and overall customer value.
• Participate in a scrum team to scope, size, and execute stories in a collaborative fashion.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the Microsoft Reporting Services.
• 5+ years data wrangling and data analysis using SQL.
• 5+ years using a source control management system such as Perforce, Git, TFS, SVN.
• Experience with a formal SDLC process.
• Microsoft SQL Server 2017 or later.
• Experience developing dashboards with products such as PowerBI or Tableau.
• Ability to perform analytics on structured and unstructured data.
• Ability to independently monitor, troubleshoot, and tune performance of SQL Server queries and SSRS report executions.
• Experience with large datasets (hundreds of millions of rows).
• Understand Unit, Functional, Performance, and Regression testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field.
• Healthcare experience is a plus.
