About the role
- Lead Cloud Data Engineer at SEB developing and maintaining the Accounting Hub for subledger accounting. Collaborate with business stakeholders and utilize modern technologies in a global environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop new integrations with source systems
- Implement data transformations based on the solution data model
- Build the orchestration framework and CI/CD pipelines for the platform
- Define development standards and drive the creation of a scalable, high-quality data flow
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, and other development teams to ensure the Accounting Hub meets business needs and supports efficient, accurate financial processes
- Explore and experiment with modern technologies including AI tools like Google Gemini
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with GCP, especially in building data-transformation pipelines using tools such as DBT or Dataform
- Practical experience orchestrating workflows with Cloud Composer (Airflow)
- Strong knowledge of VMs and their operational management
- Solid experience with SQL Server, including database configuration and working with stored procedures
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and data processing
- Experience using Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources
- A track record of building DevOps pipelines (GitHub or GitLab)
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex information
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
- Experience designing automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) would be considered a strong advantage
