Responsibilities
Prepare drawings, specifications, and reports for a range of mechanical building services projects
Design heating, ventilation, air conditioning, fire protection, plumbing, and specialty mechanical systems
Perform load calculations and equipment sizing, and create equipment schedules tailored to project requirements
Develop layouts and design mechanical building services, ensuring seamless integration with structural, architectural, and electrical disciplines
Maintain and adhere to BIM/CAD standards (Revit/CAD) and participate in clash detection, model audits, and overall quality reviews
Assist with construction administration, site reviews, shop drawing review, site instructions, and preparation of change notices as required
Coordinate design requirements across disciplines, ensuring continuity and effective project delivery
Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, and external project stakeholders.
Requirements
5 years of experience in mechanical building services design
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Building Services (C.E.T. designation or equivalent experience will be considered)
Strong proficiency in Revit (2017 or later), AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and Dynamo
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and experience with mechanical systems such as HVAC, heating, cooling, fire protection, and plumbing
Strong understanding of municipal and provincial building codes and standards
Skilled at working across disciplines — including structural, architectural, and electrical — to coordinate seamless design and delivery
Strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
