Responsibilities
Develop and implement robust designs to improve the performance and reliability of laboratory products
Clarify customer specifications, requirements and boundary conditions (costs, schedules, standards)
Develop functional concepts, compare design variants and carry out feasibility and risk assessments
Ensure product functionality and quality
Coordinate across disciplines to develop innovative solutions
Produce detailed technical drawings and manufacturing specifications
Conduct tests and simulations to validate design concepts
Advise on the selection of suitable materials and components for designs
Requirements
Successfully completed Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical Engineering or equivalent)
Relevant professional experience in mechanical design
Previous experience with medical and laboratory products, plastics and injection molding technology, and the design of molded parts
Ideally experienced with CATIA (V5/V6)
Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems (preferably SAP ECTR)
Knowledge of ISO GPS / GD&T
Analytical thinking and a strong eye for detail
Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
Willingness to travel occasionally (max. 10%)
