About the role
- Senior Engineering Manager leading Mobile Developer Experience team responsible for tooling and experience for mobile engineers. Overseeing team goals, career development, and collaboration across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a team of engineers tasked with building the best developer experience and tooling that power Slack’s mobile apps.
- Directly responsible for career development of engineers in the team.
- Help set team goals and technical direction.
- Represent Slack Internal Tools engineering.
- Help set and fulfill the engineering hiring plan for the team.
- Build a diverse team while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.
- Familiarity working with or managing a team that cares for Mobile developers to improve the overall experience of SDLC at scale.
- Experience managing iOS or Android teams.
- Ideal technical experience with Bazel, Swift, Kotlin, Gradle, buildkite.
- You are highly organized.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- You are a compelling and clear communicator.
