About the role

• Senior BI Engineer focused on data modeling and report design at ROSE Bikes. Collaborating with stakeholders to develop data-driven solutions in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, development and optimization of reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
• Design and continuous development of complex data models as the basis for reliable KPIs.
• Creation, maintenance and optimization of ETL processes to integrate and transform diverse data sources.
• Close collaboration with internal stakeholders — from requirements analysis to implementation of tailored BI solutions.
• Support and continuous improvement of our Power BI-based BI platform.
• Training users and actively contributing to building internal Power BI expertise.
• Contribute to the strategic development of our data and analytics landscape.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification.
• Professional experience in BI, ideally in e-commerce or retail.
• Solid experience in designing and implementing reports with Microsoft Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of database technologies, particularly MS SQL.
• Experience developing interfaces in an SQL environment (stored procedures, XML, CSV, JSON).
• Confident use of the Microsoft services stack, especially Power BI and the Tabular Model.
• Knowledge of DAX and, ideally, experience with C#, Python and version control with Git.
• Experience in data warehouse modeling; Data Vault 2.0 is an advantage.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Analytical mindset, strong problem-solving skills and an independent working style.
• Team player with strong communication skills and a preference for transparent collaboration.
• Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken (minimum C2).
• Willingness and ability to work on-site in Germany.
