Senior BMS Technical Lead guiding development teams and ensuring battery management systems stability and quality. Overseeing technical reviews and project collaboration in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
Provide technical direction to development teams across Germany, Sweden, and India
Review system architecture, BMS functions, and implementation details
Support code reviews for embedded C, Simulink models, and AUTOSAR-based SWCs
Identify design flaws, memory issues, and performance bottlenecks
Challenge technical decisions and promote best engineering practices
Assess battery behavior and system responses under various operating conditions
Ensure technical readiness prior to customer delivery
Contribute to release planning, requirements interpretation, and risk analysis
Support stability improvements for the current BMS product
Prepare the team for upcoming customer reviews and validation activities
Align development activities across distributed teams
Work closely with requirements managers and architects
Communicate effectively with customers during escalations or clarification requests
Coach and mentor junior engineers and offshore team members
Requirements
5–10+ years in BMS development, high-voltage battery systems, or battery software
Deep understanding of battery system behavior across different operating conditions
Ability to read and review embedded C and AUTOSAR code
Experience identifying memory issues, stability gaps, and design flaws
Strong diagnostic and root-cause analysis skills
Experience with CANoe, INCA, dSPACE, or similar toolchains
Experience collaborating with offshore development teams
Strong communication and stakeholder-facing skills
Strong plus: Experience with AUTOSAR Classic
Strong plus: Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and TargetLink
Strong plus: Exposure to ISO 26262
Strong plus: Previous experience in commercial vehicle or high-energy battery programs
Languages: English (fluent) – required; German or Swedish – advantageous
