About the role
- Quality Engineer responsible for automation testing of APIs on an AI-driven platform. Collaborating with engineers to ensure quality in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated tests for APIs and backend services (for example, using Karate or Cucumber)
- Write clear, reliable tests that give fast feedback to the team
- Test core functionality, error handling, and expected service behaviour
- Collaborate early with engineers to understand requirements and edge cases
- Support automated testing in CI/CD pipelines
- Help identify quality risks and improve test coverage
- Contribute to incident reviews by strengthening tests to prevent repeat issues
- Learn and apply modern quality engineering practices in a platform environment
Requirements
- Experience in software testing or quality engineering (typically 2–4 years, or equivalent practical experience)
- Experience with test automation , especially for APIs or backend services
- Familiarity with tools such as Karate, Cucumber , or similar frameworks
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and data formats
- Some experience working with CI/CD pipelines
- Comfortable working in Agile teams and collaborating with others
- Interest in taking ownership and continuously improving quality
