Responsibilities
- Perform engineering tasks under the direction of an experienced engineer, focusing on the architecture, design, and development of RHOAI features
- Become an active member of an agile development team, both scrum and kanban
- Innovate and collaborate with fellow engineers in the MLOps domain
- Write unit and integration tests to help ensure product quality, resiliency, and maintainability
- Troubleshoot technical issues and help deliver creative solutions
- Work both on your own, remotely, and collaboratively with others in your team
- Help mentor a transition year student, transferring your learned skills to the younger students
- Present a topic, not always technical, to the team at one or more team knowledge-sharing sessions
- Proactively utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) for code generation
Requirements
- Enrolled in an accredited university program in the Republic of Ireland during the full duration of the internship
- Working knowledge of written and spoken English
- Growth mindset; willingness to learn and challenge yourself
- Ability to give and receive feedback in a constructive meaningful manner
- Basic knowledge/understanding of Git usage and workflows
- A good understanding of scripting and programming with languages such Python, Golang
- A basic understanding or knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Some understanding of configuration management, automation tools, and containerisation technologies
- Active online presence (e.g. GitHub) with interest in community development is a plus
- Basic knowledge of Kubernetes or OpenShift is a plus.
