Responsibilities
- Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust software for our advanced QKD systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Cybersecurity Enhancement: Build secure software and software infrastructure (like image registries, security scanner, PKI, …), harden Linux systems and network configurations.
- System Optimization: Collaborate with colleagues to create software that is not only secure but also highly efficient and capable of operating under stringent conditions.
- Process Improvement: Enhance development methodologies by supporting and improving software development processes, testing, and DevOps practices.
Requirements
- Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems, with a focus on security and reliability.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in systems programming languages such as C, C++, or Rust, with a strong preference for experience in Rust.
- Secure Software Development: Expertise in developing secure software systems and secure software lifecycle is highly regarded.
- Specialized Knowledge: Experience in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded: Security-sensitive systems and cryptography, Fail-safe systems and certified software, Distributed and high availability systems.
- Tool Proficiency: Solid understanding of GIT, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes is a plus.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English and/or German, both written and spoken, to ensure effective communication within a diverse team.
