About the role
- Architectural designer focusing on product development and system maintenance for Protektor's lightweight steel construction. Collaborating with teams to create and maintain technical documentation and designs in BIM.
Responsibilities
- New development and further development as well as maintenance of our products and systems – from concept through testing and approval phases to market launch.
- Preparation of conceptual, execution and detailed plans (2D/3D) for projects within our edifico lightweight construction system; maintenance of detail catalogs and drawing standards.
- Development of innovative, modular design proposals, modeling in BIM (e.g., Revit), derivation of parts lists, quantity calculations and overview plans.
- Preparation of technical documentation (assembly and planning guidelines, tender texts, product datasheets) and contribution to testing/approvals.
- Close collaboration with internal departments (development, production, purchasing and sales) and external coordination with architects, planning offices and specialist contractors.
- Advising and supporting our customers in day-to-day business.
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture or a qualification as a Technician or Technical Draftsperson
- Experience in drywall and lightweight steel construction is an advantage
- Confident use of MS Office programs and experience with CAD software, e.g., Revit
- Understanding of DIN/EN standards, detail design, basics of building physics (thermal/acoustic/fire protection) and planning processes
- Structured working approach, enjoyment of teamwork and clear communication in cross-functional meetings
- Business-fluent German language skills, both spoken and written, for the reliable application of building regulations and standards.
