About the role
- Finance Director leading financial management and strategic partnerships for Automotive Coatings Americas. Overseeing a team and enhancing financial operations for regional business success.
Responsibilities
- Lead all financial management, reporting, and planning activities for a regional business
- Serve as strategic partner to the Automotive Coatings Americas leadership team
- Report directly to the Global Finance Director, Automotive Coatings
- Work closely with the Vice President, Americas, Automotive Coatings and the broader regional leadership team
- Manage all regional financial activities, including monthly closing, forecasting, reporting, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
- Lead commercial financial support, including pricing/index pricing analysis, commercial deal evaluation, and business case development
- Be a strategic advisor to regional leadership, contributing financial insight to support organic growth, margin expansion, and operational performance
- Lead and develop a regional finance organization of 13 team members, including 5 direct reports
- Identify, lead, and execute process improvement and productivity initiatives across the region
- Ensure internal controls and compliance with PPG global accounting policies and standards
- Support the implementation and adoption of global systems, including Anaplan and PPG SAP Central Finance (CFIN)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, with an MBA and/or CPA preferred
- 8+ years of progressive experience in finance
- Proven success in setting strategic direction, building and developing teams, influencing senior leaders, and delivering measurable results
- Strong executive presence with excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a complex, matrixed, global organization.
