About the role
- Product Developer for SHYNE and Pomelo + Co. managing innovations in hair care and hair color products across brands in the beauty industry.
Responsibilities
- Development of new product concepts in hair color and haircare
- Trend and competitor analyses in the DACH region and internationally
- Close collaboration with our manufacturers on formulation and product development
- Management of product samples, testing and optimizations
- Definition of USPs, claims and efficacy promises
- Calculation of target prices and margins in coordination with Finance
- Briefing of packaging design including claims, ingredients and compliance
- Preparation of product documentation for retail pitches
- Further development of existing lines through innovation and feedback integration
- Analysis of sell-out data and identification of new product opportunities
Requirements
- Several years of experience in product development in the beauty or FMCG sector
- Experience with haircare or hair color
- Strong sense for trends, active ingredients and consumer needs
- Structured, independent way of working
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Very good German and English skills
- Experience working with manufacturers and regulatory requirements
