Responsibilities
Initiate and facilitate regular assessments with managers to discuss upcoming assignments, scheduling needs, or capacity
Manage the staffing/scheduling process for the office/region and department
Collaborate with office leadership to achieve office utilization goals of staff
Update data in scheduling system to ensure alignment with assignments communicated by managers
Create scheduling system reports regularly to assist in resource allocation decisions
Assist Talent Deployment Manager in monitoring tax/assurance utilization (firmwide)
Mediate conflicts and resolve resource needs developing in office/region
Proactively communicate staffing issues and provide information for effective resource deployment
Assign staff to engagements ensuring balanced workloads
Lead office, region, and firmwide scheduling meetings
Requirements
3+ years of experience in a professional services/public accounting firm in either tax, audit, or scheduling role
High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or other business related field highly preferred
Project management skills necessary to: Meet project milestones, Make decisions when required, Monitor databases, Communicate clear objectives, Maintain and develop relationships with staff, Partners, and internal clients, Perform against tight deadlines
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) experience
Role requires consistent travel to other regional offices
