Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, storage solutions, and architectures to support our carbon accounting and decarbonization objectives
- Design and implement complex data models for analytics use cases
- Build efficient data transformations and continuously improve performance to balance execution time and environmental impact
- Design and implement AI-driven features to enhance customer data exploration, anomaly detection, and intelligent insights
- Take ownership of projects with a hands-on mentality, including technical reviews, documentation, and mentoring
Requirements
- Strong Python skills and a track record of writing clean, simple, and well-tested code
- Experience deploying AWS services with IaC (Terraform), including Lambda, S3, IAM, ECS, DynamoDB, and RDS
- Strong knowledge of database optimization techniques (e.g. partitions, indexing, and query performance tuning)
- Experience with at least one cloud data warehouse (e.g. Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks)
- Experience with BI solutions (ideally Metabase) and orchestration tools (AWS Step Functions)
- Experience building, maintaining, and documenting APIs (FastAPI, Flask, etc.)
- Experience with modern AI technologies such as LLMs, embeddings, and vector databases
- Experience working effectively in collaborative environments
