About the role
- Junior Software Engineer developing responsive web applications and backend functionalities at web care LBJ GmbH. Collaborating in agile teams using modern technologies like Nuxt, TypeScript, and PHP.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and further enhancement of modern web applications using Nuxt, TypeScript and SCSS
- Implement backend functionality with PHP and Laravel
- Work closely with Product Owners, UX/UI designers and other developers in an agile, cross-functional team
- Support the design and implementation of new features — from concept to production and operation
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions and ArgoCD)
- Support the operation and further development of our applications in containerized environments (Kubernetes)
- Assist the team in developing the Definition of Done and other working agreements
Requirements
- Initial experience in full-stack development with modern web technologies
- Interest in the entire software development lifecycle, including various agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, deployments, testing and operations (DevOps)
- A completed degree with an IT focus, a comparable vocational qualification or practical experience as a career changer
- Motivation to learn from code reviews, new technologies, tools and best practices within the team and to grow professionally every day
- Analytical thinking, creativity and strong teamwork skills
- Fluent German skills, at least CEFR B2
- Willingness to come to the office in Hamburg's HafenCity 1 to 2 days per week
