About the role
- Turbomachinery CAD Designer transforming concepts into production-ready CAD for turbopumps. Collaborating with engineers and suppliers to ensure manufacturability and effective inspection in the space industry.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed 3D CAD models and complex assemblies for turbopump components
- Produce, review, and release manufacturing drawings (2D) including notes, surface finish, heat treatments, coatings, and inspection requirements
- Perform and document tolerance stack-ups, fits/clearances, and interface control
- Support design engineers by providing DfM/DfA feedback
- Manage drawing maturity through the release cycle in the PLM
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience producing and releasing detailed drawings for precision mechanical parts
- Advanced user of CAD (Siemens NX preferred)
- Strong command of ISO GPS / GD&T
- Working proficiency in English (Spanish and French are a plus)
