About the role

  • Information Security Analyst ensuring the protection of systems and data at ScanSource. Collaborating with IT teams and managing security tools to enhance organizational security levels.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, monitor, and respond to information security tickets, events, and alerts across the global IT environment.
  • Manage and maintain security software versions, ensuring proper updates, configurations, and compliance.
  • Co-manage security platforms and environments, including endpoint protection, logging, scanning, and monitoring tools.
  • Review system and security configurations to identify risks, recommend improvements, and reduce organizational exposure.
  • Support security incident and event handling, including investigation, documentation, and resolution activities.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and infrastructure teams to continuously improve security architecture and controls.
  • Provide guidance and training to new hires and internal teams on information security best practices.
  • Support troubleshooting activities related to security systems and IT environments.
  • Prepare and maintain security documentation, reports, and process records.
  • Support compliance efforts related to internal policies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, standardization, and process optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with internal deadlines, procedures, confidentiality, and information security standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of prior experience in IT or Information Security roles.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, security practices, and information security fundamentals.
  • Experience working with multiple technology stacks and supporting migration toward standardized/global environments.
  • Fluent English, with the ability to communicate effectively with global teams and leadership.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and technical writing skills.
  • Familiarity with security incident management, security monitoring tools, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks such as SOX, PCI, GDPR, or similar standards.
