About the role
- Cloud Network Engineer focusing on Azure network architecture and Zscaler solutions at Packsize. Collaborating with IT and DevOps to enhance network security and performance.
Responsibilities
- Architecting, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions across Azure cloud and on-premises environments.
- Drive transition to a cloud-first, hybrid networking model, focusing on Azure-native network services and Zscaler cloud security solutions.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, SecOps, and Software Development teams to enhance network infrastructure and cloud security posture.
- Managing customer network integrations, testing, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders for customer and network support.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Driving automation initiatives and contributing to strategic planning and project management.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on network engineering/administration, with a recent focus on cloud networking (Azure preferred)
- 3+ years designing, deploying, and supporting cloud network services (Azure preferred), including VNets, Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, NSGs, etc.
- 2+ years of relevant experience with a cloud-based security service edge(SASE) platform in enterprise environments. Zscaler experience is highly desirable(ZIA, ZPA, etc).
- Demonstrated experience configuring and managing Cisco Meraki and/or Palo Alto firewall solutions
- Proven ability to connect, secure, and optimize multi-cloud and hybrid network environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis and cross-team collaboration
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform to automate and manage Azure and hybrid network environments.
- Ability to write, maintain, and troubleshoot Terraform code for deploying cloud networking and security resources.
- Strong communication and written skills. Able to be direct.
- Experience with automation/scripting for network operations (Azure PowerShell, ARM/Bicep, Python, etc.)
- Familiarity with cloud-native security concepts and tools
- Project management and process improvement experience
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and ways of working.
