Responsibilities
Responsible for Work Verification and Quality Assurance on the Pole Reinforcement Program, System Inspections.
Supports Standards adherence, consults on proper execution of work and project site details.
Coordinates with construction crews, oversees project inspectors.
Performs construction oversight on a project-specific basis.
Prepares job packages and construction estimates, conducts job walks, and meets with bidders, contractors, and governing agencies.
Ensures projects are completed per company standards, engineering design, regulatory guidelines, permits, and schedule.
Leads weekly construction and progress meetings and publish meeting notes with field records on a project basis.
Maintains a positive relationship with construction superintendents and project managers updating them as part of the project construction team.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
7 years of experience in the field of Industrial engineering or Construction.
Travel approximately 50% with occasional overnight stays.
9 years working experience in the field of Industrial Engineering or Construction (desired).
Knowledge of Utility Poles and PG&E Standards (desired).
Demonstrated knowledge in Electric Distribution and Transmission Construction (desired).
Ability to perform cost and project scheduling (desired).
Strong project and people management skills (desired).
Ability to understand, interpret and communicate civil/electrical work procedures, process instrumentation, work methods, standards, policies, and guidelines (desired).
Demonstrates skill in achieving cooperation from others to achieve a goal (desired).
Ability to lead teams to perform effectively under deadlines and in emergency situations (desired).
Knowledge of the company’s emergency management processes (desired).
Ability to lead trainings and coach less experienced employees (desired).
