About the role
- Plant Manager in Olam's Noodles division managing production teams across shifts. Overseeing factory operations to meet targets while ensuring safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and Manage Production team of all product lines in across shifts of a complex Plant.
- Implement and drive Manufacturing excellence practices.
- Manage the day-to-day operations and activities of the factory.
- Delivery to Sales at the optimal Quality & Cost.
- Coordinate activities in the Factory to ensure products are manufactured to specification.
- Responsible for Safety, Quality, Costs, OEE, productivity, and efficiency.
- Ensure Production Targets are met as per plan.
- Ensure all operations are in conformity with laid down rules and regulations.
- Ensure operational excellence / good manufacturing practices to minimize rejects.
- Assist with planning for optimum utilization of machines, materials and human resources.
- Ensure efficient utilization and control of Raw and Packaging Materials.
- Maintain peaceful Industrial relations.
- Co-ordinate with Safety / Maintenance / QA / Warehouse departments.
- Ensure safety of people, machines, and materials on the shop-floor.
- Lead a team of Executives, motivate them to achieve company goals.
- Train the people down the line to achieve organizational goals.
- Carry out performance management process for team members.
Requirements
- Degree in Food Technology or Mechanical/ Electrical/Chemical Engineering
- 13 - 18 years of experience of handling production activities independently in FMCG Food Industries
- 5 years’ experience in handling Plant teams within the packaged food Industry will be preferred.
- WCM/TQM/TPM/6 sigma – exposure on one of the systems & implementation.
- Hands on experience will be preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP or any ERP is preferable.
