About the role

Responsibilities
- Perform duties as a security analyst, conducting internal and client-led analyses of security issues that arise.
- Act as a Cybersecurity Analyst, carrying out Information Security analysis activities both internally and for clients to detect security vulnerabilities and weaknesses in internal controls, as well as advising on clients’ audit processes in these areas.
- Serve as a point of reference for Information Security guidelines, risk mitigation, compliance, and corporate governance, applicable both internally at Novared and for its clients.
- Administer, investigate, and analyze security information collected by Novared’s security monitoring platforms.
- Create L2 security cases associated with monitoring platforms.
- Review and create new rules related to monitoring platforms.
- Perform continuous reviews of the operational status of the platforms used by the team.
- Refine and remove rules in SIEM platforms.
- Respond to security incidents on an on-call basis, with potential participation in crisis rooms for critical incidents.
- Receive client and/or internal requests related to security issues that require Operational Security team involvement.
- Conduct appropriate investigations of requests using multiple sources and tools to provide responses or determine escalations.
- Provide feedback to the SOC and/or forward to other responsible teams for analysis and remediation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in incident management and handling requests/requisitions.
- Technical knowledge of Networks and Infrastructure.
- Technical knowledge in Cybersecurity.
- Previous experience at system integrators or MSSPs.
- Intermediate Spanish for conversation.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
