About the role
- Program Mission Assurance Engineer for Northrop Grumman ensuring technical requirements integration and collaborating on quality standards. Overseeing program risks, conducting quality reviews, and analyzing testing processes.
Responsibilities
- Interprets customer technical and Mission Assurance requirements
- Ensures these requirements are integrated into program plans, specifications and product drawings
- Provides support and direction to other Program Mission Assurance Engineers
- Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place
- Performs oversight and monitoring of program risks and opportunities
- Assists in the performance of independent quality reviews to ensure compliance with contractual and customer requirements
- Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment
- Conducts quality assurance tests; performs statistical analysis to assess the cost and responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications
- Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction assuring process and product quality
- Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements
- Represents Mission Assurance at different review boards including Configuration Control Board (CCB), Corrective Action Board (CAB), & Material Review Board (MRB)
- Provides oversight in discrepancy review, failure investigations, as well as cause and corrective action determinations
Requirements
- 8 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's degree
- 6 Years of relevant experience with a completed Master's degree
- 4 Years of relevant experience with a completed PhD
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required at the time of application
- Experience working with external mission partners throughout lifecycle of program
- Experience on Space systems programs, such as payload, OR spacecraft bus, OR antenna, launch, OR ground systems, and/or operations and maintenance activities
- Experience working with and managing subcontractors
- Experience working with or supporting Integration and Test
- Experience working with or supporting Validation and Verification
- Experience supporting Parts, Materials, and Processes Control Board
- Experience working directly with customers
- Experience supporting Engineering Review Board
- Experience reading cabling drawings, wiring diagrams, and circuit schematics
- Knowledge of mechanical and non-destructive inspection techniques
