About the role

• Product Engineer developing scalable backend systems and applications for AI-assisted design. Building modular distributed systems and intuitive APIs while collaborating across product and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build high-performance applications that make dealing with complex 3D and physics datasets, as well as AI workflows, simple.
• Build modular distributed systems that can be deployed onto heterogeneous high-performance infrastructure (Kubernetes, onprem HPC, etc)
• Design and build optimized and intuitive APIs with an eye on latency and reliability.
• Contribute to high-performance database and unstructured data management systems.
• Collaborate with the platform team to embed observability at the core of all our services.
• Harden delivery by evolving CI/CD, testing infrastructure and rollout safeguards.
• Set up and maintain automated pipelines using GitHub Actions CI/CD.
• Collaborate across product and design to shape problem statements and solutions that increase user value in a measurable and meaningful way.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience designing and building distributed software systems dealing with large data processing workloads. Experience with Ray and Kubernetes is a strong plus.
• A track record of delivering high-performance, impactful full-stack applications from the ground up.
• A thoughtful approach to API design, creating interfaces that enhance development efficiency over time and at scale.
• Practical knowledge of both elastic cloud environments and on-premise HPC infrastructure.
• Solid CI/CD practices (GitHub Actions is a plus) coupled with a reliability-first mindset.
• Strong product sense — you shape, prioritize, and consistently connect your work to user value.
• Clear communication, proactive collaboration, and well-documented decisions that accelerate team velocity.
