About the role
- Infrastructure Network Management Engineer handling Infoblox NetMRI products within a bank. Managing technologies for network monitoring and engineering intuitive infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to and manage the selection, creation, and maintenance of technologies required to meet the needs of our customers, strategic targets, and architecture outcomes
- Responsible for developing products using modern engineering practices and tools
- Day-to-day support and maintenance of Network Management tools Infoblox NetMRI
- Collaborate with Product Owners to develop product roadmaps
- Manage the lifecycle of the team's products and support engineered products
- Respond to colleague feedback and new feature requests
- Resolve production issues and help colleagues consume our products
- Use DevOps practices to manage and develop code using Git based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
- Design and engineer intuitive, self-service infrastructure solutions using Infoblox NetMRI
- Provide operational support for network incidents
- Work with key vendors in the delivery of the infrastructure services and technology for the product
- Learn and develop automated solutions using scripting languages such as Python and XML and automation tools such as YAML, JSON, Ansible, and Nautobot
- Use network management tools to automate deployment and reporting of controls and mandatory security requirements to comply with best practice and bank policies
Requirements
- Experience of the Infloblox NetMRI product in a large enterprise networking managing 5,000+ nodes
- Understanding and exposure to software development or automation scripting such as Python or Shell
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Experience in utilising modern infrastructure as code via tooling
- Good understanding of Agile working practices and toolsets
- Public cloud vendor knowledge covering GCP, AWS, and Azure would be beneficial
- Excellence in the use of change management processes and associated risks when implementing bulk changes across the network
- Understanding of Cisco and Arista network products and experience of the development of CI or CD pipelines using modern tooling
- Experience in software testing practices and tools and in using observability tools and techniques
- Ability to use data, information, and user sentiment to continuously improve solutions
- Experience of working with networking and security technologies deployed to an on-premises datacentre and offices with a good understanding of protocols covering TCP/IP, SNMP, DNS, and HTTP
- Strong collaborative communication skills for articulating technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
