About the role
- Senior Back-end Engineer responsible for scaling Nabla’s AI-driven healthcare platform. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers in back-end development.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve our server-side applications and APIs
- Lead complex integrations with external partners, especially Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Continuously improve and optimize our back-end architecture and developer experience
- Guide architectural discussions and influence long-term technical decisions
- Collaborate closely with Machine Learning, Product, and Front-End teams to deliver impactful end-to-end features
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to scaling the engineering culture
Requirements
- You have strong foundations in computer science or a related discipline
- You demonstrate strong, senior-level experience in back-end engineering, ideally within fast-paced, production-critical environments.
- You’re proficient in one or more widely used back-end languages (Java, Kotlin, C++, Python, etc.)
- You have deep experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable APIs and distributed systems (GraphQL and OpenAPI experience is a plus)
- You are comfortable driving architectural decisions and technical strategy
- You write clean, maintainable code and have high standards for software quality
- You communicate clearly in English
- Bonus: experience with cloud infrastructure, security/compliance, or healthcare data standards (FHIR)
