About the role
- Senior Electric Distribution Designer at M&S Engineering, focusing on electric distribution design and project estimation while reporting to the office in Georgetown, TX.
Responsibilities
- Produce electric distribution field designs, staking of distribution facilities, project estimation and preparation of construction prints.
- Report to the office and work independently or as a team.
- Represent professionally when meeting with property owners, engineering firms, and construction resources.
- Stay abreast with changing technologies, work planning, and design methodologies.
- Mentor and/or train other staff members in electric distribution design.
- Use electronic design/estimation software to prepare cost estimates and utilize surveying equipment.
Requirements
- Six (6) years prior experience with electric distribution design and estimation.
- Strong background in both overhead and underground electric distribution line design, standards of construction and design guidelines.
- Must possess a High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
- Possess a current Texas Drivers License with an insurable driving record.
