About the role
- Senior Product Manager at Monato taking full ownership of Crossborder financial infrastructure product. Building and operating a financial business line with strategic design and operational control in production.
Responsibilities
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Crossborder product with a strong focus on economic impact and scalability.
- Design and optimize the product’s economic model (pricing, spreads, operational costs, liquidity management).
- Translate market opportunities and regulatory requirements into executable product initiatives.
- Prioritize initiatives balancing revenue, risk, speed, and complexity.
- Align Engineering, Compliance, Operations, and Business stakeholders through influence-based leadership.
- Define, measure, and evolve critical KPIs (revenue, transaction volume, latency, reliability, cost per transaction).
- Ensure product stability, operational efficiency, and continuous evolution in production.
- Make decisions under regulatory and operational uncertainty, taking accountability for financial impact.
Requirements
- 5+ years leading products in fintech, payments, remittances, or financial infrastructure.
- Experience launching and operating products with direct revenue impact.
- Prior experience managing products that process real money (transactions, settlement, reconciliation, FX).
- Strong understanding of international money flows: FX, settlement, liquidity, compliance.
- Experience operating within regulated financial environments (CNBV, SPEI, IFPE, or similar frameworks).
- Ability to model and optimize unit economics (spreads, transaction costs, margins).
- Experience managing mission-critical products in production environments.
- Proven track record of making decisions with direct financial impact and owning outcomes.
- Influence-based leadership and strong execution-oriented strategic thinking.
