Principal Engineer for Mixed-Signal and analog IPs at Microchip, leading IP development and support with 10+ years experience required.
Responsibilities
Define requirements for mixed-signal IP in collaboration with SoC architects
Work with IP vendors to customize IP solutions and finalize the statement of work (SOW)
Manage IP integration processes, including pre-licensing, post-acquisition quality assurance, integration, and validation reviews
Provide post-tape-out support for mixed-signal IP, including lab testing, customer bring-up, and debugging
Actively participate in lab testing, support, and debugging of mixed-signal blocks and SERDES
Own circuit and system specifications
Design analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits in CMOS technology
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with solid analog/mixed-signal experience and at least 10 years of mixed-signal CMOS circuit design experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 7.5 years of experience in this area
Excellent understanding of the mixed-signal design flow stages, including architecture, design, and integration
Experience with high-speed SERDES and/or PLLs
Experience with circuit simulators (HSPICE, Spectre, etc.)
Experience with PCIe, SAS, SATA and Ethernet protocols is a plus
Experience with chiplet technologies is a plus
Good understanding of device physics and basic ESD/latch-up concepts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team

Ability to adapt quickly to new projects
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required for this role.
