About the role
- Finance Specialist managing accounting and reporting tasks for Asia Finance Controllers in a hybrid working environment. Requires expertise in finance processes and proactive collaboration with business units.
Responsibilities
- Financial Analyst is primarily accountable for the accounting and analysis of finance activities to support Asia Finance Controllers SSC.
- Responsible for the preparation of finance processes such as Journal Entry preparation, reconciliation and preparation of management reports used by Business Units within Asia.
- Collaborate with business units to ensure a smooth flow in the accounting cycle, including preparation of journal entries and monitoring suspense accounts.
- Perform reconciliation such as Bank Reconciliation, Intercompany Reconciliation and System reconciliation.
- Responsible for peer-to-peer reviews to ensure accurate submission to Business Units.
- Propose automation initiatives on processes with the goal of improving accuracy and contributing to overall cost efficiency of the team.
Requirements
- Must have a degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA is preferred.
- 4 - 7 years of working experience with progressive responsibility within the general accounting and management reporting field, at least 3 of which internally with an international organization or Shared Service Center.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Access, Business Objects applications, Lawson, Hyperion Essbase.
- Experience in process migration is a plus.
- Has strong attention to details and can work independently.
- Good command of written and oral English.
