About the role

• Senior Big Data Consultant responsible for designing scalable data pipelines and implementing data solutions. Collaborating with data analysts and scientists at LUZA Group in Lisbon, Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Spark and Databricks
• Implement and manage real-time data streaming solutions with Kafka
• Build and optimize data solutions within Microsoft Fabric
• Develop robust ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and deliver large-scale datasets
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions

Requirements

• +5 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role, with strong hands-on expertise in Spark and Databricks
• Experience building batch and real-time data pipelines using Kafka, Python, and SQL
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric and designing scalable data solutions
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud
• Strong understanding of distributed data processing, ETL/ELT development, and data architecture principles.
