About the role
- Junior Platform Engineering Consultant responsible for managing Kubernetes environments and CI/CD pipelines for clients. Engaging in cloud-native transformation with a focus on innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support in the architecture, design, and implementation of Kubernetes environments based on bare metal or IaaS platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS, VMware, OpenStack)
- Execute migrations from/to containerized environments and design highly available multi‑cloud container orchestration environments
- Implement and automate CI/CD pipelines, as well as automated provisioning of environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Assist with system and container hardening and the implementation of additional cloud‑native security tools
- Share knowledge and contribute to relevant content for clients and prospects (e.g., whitepapers, blog posts, conference presentations)
Requirements
- University degree in (business) computer science, (business) mathematics, physics, or a related field
- Comfortable working with Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD/CKS certification is a plus)
- Knowledge of distributed systems, storage, backup & recovery, scaling, and performance optimization
- Understanding of agile methodologies and the DevOps philosophy; experience automating CI/CD pipelines is advantageous
- Familiarity with concepts, tools, or frameworks such as OpenShift, Mesos, Nomad, microservices, cloud‑native architectures, and self‑contained systems
- Excellent communication skills in English and German, and willingness to travel domestically on occasion.
