About the role
- Systems Administrator managing complex Intel-based server environments and virtualization. Ensuring compliance and support for Windows-based applications with a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support complex Intel-based server environments and multiple hypervisor platforms.
- Windows Server/Intel OS administration.
- Virtualization management.
- Support for Windows‑based server applications.
- Implementation and renewal of Windows web services and certificates.
- Create system images used to build new base template servers to DOD STIG standards.
- Support of incident management, project delivery, and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with application owners to implement sound, reasonable backup and retention policies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Intel OS / Virtualization experience
- Experienced with Windows Server
- Proficient in troubleshooting complex technical problems.
- Demonstrated experience successfully delivering complex initiatives, meeting quality and time expectations.
- Must be able to communicate at a highly technical level to work effectively with peers and other I/T staff.
- Requires adherence to STIG guidelines and remediation activities, along with compliance with established disaster recovery processes.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or an equivalent combination of experience with training and/or certification.
