About the role
- Data Transport Software Engineer developing scalable cloud-native solutions for Leidos, supporting USAF system resiliency and security in a multi-cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Must have prior experience supporting development of the Data Transport Monitoring Tool
- Troubleshoots connectivity between Data Transport environments to ensure proper reporting and metrics for the Monitoring Tool
- Architect, deploy, and integrate the DT Monitoring Tool within DT environments
- Designing software solutions to meet technical and business needs by leveraging knowledge of programming languages, architecture, and technology
- Support system integration, verification, validation, testing, and quality assurance activities across multiple technical domains
- Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution for customers
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture artifacts, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, program leadership, customers, and external partners or vendors to deliver integrated solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Interim Secret clearance required to start; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (IAT Level II)
- Expert-level experience designing and supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and DevOps/DevSecOps practices
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native application architectures
- Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and cloud security concepts
- Proficiency in one or more scripting or programming languages (e.g., Apache NiFi)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
