About the role
- Leading Finance and Controlling team responsible for financial management in a social enterprise. Focusing on creating a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Functional and disciplinary leadership and further development of the accounting and controlling team
- Responsibility for group accounting and preparation of the consolidated financial statements according to the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements for the individual entities
- Responsibility for planning, forecasting, and reporting
- Financial and liquidity management
- Process optimization and digitalization
- Advising management on all financial and tax-related matters
- Primary point of contact for banks, tax advisors, and auditors
Requirements
- Degree in business administration with a focus on finance and accounting, or commercial vocational training; ideally supplemented by qualification as a certified balance sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter)
- Several years of professional experience in the preparation of annual and/or consolidated financial statements under HGB and tax law—ideally in the non-profit sector
- Confident use of common accounting software and Microsoft 365 (especially Word and Excel)
- Structured, analytical, and independent working style
- Good communication and collaboration skills
