About the role
- Tech Lead managing the evolution of Koin's credit decision engine. Leading backend development with Typescript and ensuring integration with product strategy for financial innovation in Latin America.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the evolution of our credit decision engine, ensuring that each applied rule makes sense and delivers real business impact.
- Implement changes and improvements to the credit policy applied in the in-house decision engine.
- Develop testing tools for the engine and validate policy changes to ensure consistent results.
- Actively participate in building the next version of the decision engine.
- Monitor and interpret decision results, identifying inconsistencies, errors and opportunities to improve the logic.
- Collaborate with IT teams (infrastructure and development) to ensure integration and performance.
- Co-create strategic improvements for the area together with the Product team.
Requirements
- Strong ability to quickly understand business rules and translate them into technical solutions.
- Solid experience with TypeScript in backend development.
- Knowledge of REST API development.
- Experience with AWS services.
- Advanced English for technical reading and communication.
- Preferred: Experience with Python.
- Experience with decision engines or credit policies.
- Advanced Excel for analysis and validations.
- Experience using AI tools in software development.
