About the role
- Accountant preparing monthly and annual financial statements while coordinating with external auditors. Managing financial processes and performing analysis for a leading environmental services company.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German GAAP) and participation in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Point of contact for auditors, authorities, tax consultants and tax inspectors
- Further development and improvement of processes within financial accounting
- Independent responsibility for internal projects
- Management of fixed assets
- Preparation of VAT advance returns
- Management of claims handling in coordination with the insurer
- Independent preparation of analyses and reports
Requirements
- Completed commercial training or degree
- Several years of professional experience in accounting
- Further qualification as a certified balance sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) desirable
- Willingness for personal development
- Confident user of common MS Office programs, especially Excel
- Knowledge of Diamant software is an advantage
- Structured, independent and responsible working style
- Service-oriented, flexible, team player and open to new topics
- Good German language skills
